Why We’re Updating Our Pricing

Textline is making changes to how it structures its pricing plans and billing schedules. These changes, which will take effect August 11, 2025, are designed to:

  • Simplify your billing experience

  • Improve transparency and predictability around message credits

  • Provide more flexibility with features and add-ons

  • Give customers more choices and customization

Many of these updates were inspired by customer feedback and reflect our ongoing commitment to making Textline the most effective communication platform for your business.

What's Changing - A Full Breakdown

Here’s an overview of what’s changing. Please refer to the charts below for a comprehensive overview of the new pricing plan details.

1. Plan tiers: Consolidated, simplified, and upgraded

To reduce complexity, we’re now offering three pricing plan tiers: Enterprise, Pro, and Essentials.

  • Essentials is replacing our existing Limited and Standard plans.

  • Pro will receive access to an additional Department

  • Enterprise has complete flexibility and custom pricing

2. New billing schedules: For flexibility and savings

You’ll now have the option to:

  • Pay monthly

  • Unlock 20% off by paying annually up front

  • Save 10% by choosing an annual commitment, but still paying monthly.

3. Message credits are included: For transparency and predictability

To increase cost transparency and predictability for our customers, each plan will now include a specified number of message credits. View the number of credits for each plan below.

4. New plan costs: To support app enhancements and included messages

Now that we’ve consolidated our plans, made app updates, and included message credits, we’re updating the base plan cost to reflect these changes. Remember, you can now choose to pay annually for cost savings!

5. Seamless Add-On and Backup Message Credit management: For enhanced flexibility

To give you better control, we’ve improved how you manage and purchase additional messaging credits so you can always send your texts when YOU want.

  • Add-On Message Credits. If you want more message credits than your new pricing plan provides, you can purchase additional credits upfront each billing cycle. You can purchase any amount of Add-On credits at $0.03 per credit. Unused Add-On Message Credits never expire and always roll over.

  • Backup Messages. To ensure that our customers can always send messages, we require the use of Backup credits. All Textline accounts must maintain a minimum of 250 backup message credits. These credits are never charged until all included and add-on credits are used.

Backup credits cost $0.04 each and are only purchased when both included and add-on credits are exhausted. Unused and purchased Backup credits never expire and always roll over.

6. Other pricing changes for additional Agents & Departments: For ultimate alignment

We’re updating the pricing of Agent & Department add-ons to better align with your selected plan and billing schedule. Add what you need, when you need it, and choose how you want to pay for them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Billing & Invoicing

Will I be prorated if I switch plans or billing schedules mid-cycle?

Yes. If you change your plan or switch from a month-to-month billing schedule to an annual billing schedule, any charges will be prorated accordingly and reflected on your next invoice.

How do I switch from monthly to annual billing?

To switch your billing schedule from monthly to one of our annual options (Annual-Billed Monthly or Annual-Billed Up Front), simply complete this form, and our team will set you up for success.

Will my invoice format change?

Invoices will now include line items for Included Messages, Add-on Messages, Backup Messages, and any Agent/Department add-ons.

Will I need to take action to stay on my current plan?

No action is needed. Your plan will automatically migrate to its new name and structure. If you want to move to an annual plan, please reach out to [email protected]

Feature Access & Plan Capabilities

Are any features being removed or changed as part of this update?

No. As part of this pricing update, all existing feature sets remain the same:

  • Essentials inherits the former Standard features

  • Pro remains unchanged

  • HIPAA Essentials inherits HIPAA Standard features

  • HIPAA Pro remains unchanged

  • Enterprise remains custom/negotiable

Will my API integrations, automations, or workflows be affected?

No. This update does not affect feature functionality or platform integrations.

Legacy Plan Customers

I’m on a Limited/Standard plan. What’s changing for me?

You’ll automatically transition to the Essentials plan, with included agents and Included Message credits.

Will I lose any functionality by being moved to Essentials?

No. You’ll retain the same features and gain Included Messages and flexible billing.

Can I switch to Pro or Enterprise if I outgrow Essentials?

Yes. You can upgrade plans at any time via the billing section or by contacting our support team.
