You are under no obligation to input credit card information to begin your free trial, or at any time during your free trial. Your trial will start with a Demo Department where you will only be able to send and receive messages with the verified numbers of users in your account. If you would like to try Textline and send messages to contacts, you will need to create a department and get the number fully verified. If you choose to use a local number, you will be asked for credit card information. Nothing will be charged to your card until you become a customer, but this is a necessary step as there are costs to register local phone numbers and this helps prevent spam and fraud.
