Textline mobile and desktop Notifications should, by default, make a sound when they pop up. If you see the Notifications come in correctly but do not hear a sound, you’ll want to check your device’s settings.

  • Make sure that your device has the audio on & the volume up.

  • On a mobile device, ensure that the ringer & alerts volume in the sounds section is turned up adequately.

  • Double-check the Notification settings of the Textline app on the device to ensure that Sounds are turned on for Textline Notifications.- Ensure that notifications are enabled within the Textline application settings.

  • Verify your system notification settings to confirm that notifications and sounds are allowed for the Textline app (on mobile) or browser (on desktop).

  • If using Chrome, ensure that notifications are enabled in Chrome settings under "Privacy and Security" > "Site Settings," and that Textline has the necessary permissions for notifications.

  • Check Chrome’s sound settings to confirm the browser is not muted or set to "Do Not Disturb."

  • Restart Chrome and clear its cache to resolve any temporary issues affecting sound notifications.

Please note that on a mobile device, if the app is currently open, Notifications will not make a sound - they will only sound if the app is in the background or the device is locked. This is a function of mobile push notifications.
