Sure! If you'd like to see what other numbers are open in your area code, just text us at (415) 849-4349 and we'll work with you to see what's available. Once we've found a new number that works for you, we'll swap that into your Textline account, replacing your current number. All of your other data - existing messages, contacts, Agents, etc - will stay the same.
If you've already been chatting with customers, they will receive your next message (once you've changed your number) in a new text thread, so we'd recommend re-identifying yourself.
A couple additional things to bear in mind:
- We aren't able to forward texts from your original number to your new number at the moment, so if you plan to change your number, we'd recommend letting any customers that you're already in touch with know of the change.
- No phone provider, including ours, has access to every unused phone number, so we can't guarantee that you'll get an exact phone number that you're looking for. We'll do our best, though!
- We aren't able to provide toll-free numbers at this time. However, if you have an existing toll-free number that you'd like to text-enable, let us know and we'll see if we can arrange that for you!
